Throughout my walk, I have felt the ebbs and flows of my faith. In one season, I would be on fire, zealous, and ready to take on whatever the world throws at me. I was willing to do any and everything that I felt led to do by the Holy Spirit, and not care what anyone has to say about it. But, at other times, I felt stale and stagnant. Either too afraid to move forward because of what could go wrong if “I” fail. (Forgetting that it’s God’s strength, not my own anyway. And we already know, with Him, it’s impossible to fail. If I’m keeping it REAL, I was nervous about what it means; I will lose (friends, family, career, current lifestyle, etc.) when I follow the voice of God in my heart.

Wake Up From the Spiritual Slump

I knew that the Lord was calling me to do some big things, but the dismissive voices of the past that told me I wasn’t good enough, or the conditioning that caused me to believe that I had to wait for someone else’s OK to operate in my gifts and callings.  I was in a constant state of questioning myself in the prophetic and whether I was really hearing God’s voice. If the devil can’t stop God’s plans, he is sure to delay you from fulfilling them. And the enemy knows if you hesitate long enough, you’ll miss the opportunity altogether.

Then, one morning, I had a rude (but much-needed) awakening. It was as if He flipped the light switch on at 4 o’clock in the morning, pulled the covers off of me, and yelled, “You have been comfortable long enough! It is time to get up!”
Push-Past-Procrastination- Alarm-Clock

I know that if you are reading this, you probably need to hear this too, so I am going to say it to you, just like He said it to me.

“You have looked for and relied on approval and affirmation from others long enough. You have sought guidance, plans for your future, and direction from others. You have tried living your life vicariously through the excitement of the online leaders that you admire. And because of this, you lack confidence, hope, and expectation in YHWH (Yahweh, God the Creator). I (God) am the One that molded you in the womb and holds your future. But you are not looking to Me, you are looking to others.”

What Does God Have to Say About Your Identity?

Ask God what He has to say about you. What does He think? Take a walk, close yourself in a quiet place, or lock yourself in the bathroom if you have to ( Parents this is for you ). I encourage you to do it right now, don’t put this off. If you can read this far – surely you can take a few minutes to hear what God has to say.

Once you are in a position to be focused and vulnerable – take off shame, striving, and worry. Bind these spirits up and shut the tormenting voice of the enemy (See prayer below). Then listen. Hear Him. There is a value that He has placed inside you. He desires to be the most important person in your life, your lover, your peace, your job. He is perfect kindness, gentleness, and goodness. He is grace and mercy. There is an understandable attempt by the enemy to discourage you. It is no wonder the enemy has caused you to feel rejection most of your life. The devil knows that when you feel the unconditional love and acceptance of God, you will be unstoppable.

Write Down the Plans God Has For You.

Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. Habukkuk 2:2

Don’t worry about how big and unreachable the plan may look right now. Don’t concern yourself with how you will do it. Just write it down.

He will give you strategy, growth, and change! Just move when He tells you to and go where He directs. Complacency has got to go today!

According to a study conducted by Harvard Business Study, 83% of people have no goals, 14% have goals but had not written them down, and only 3% of people write down their goals and in doing so are 3 times more likely to achieve their goals than those that did not.

And there is no condemnation – it you are in need of a coach to walk this out with you and encourage you to push past procrastination, check out the services we offer and contact us. We would love the opportunity to walk with you in becoming all God has called you to be.

Prayer

Lord, I thank you for my life and I surrender it to you again today. God, show me your wisdom, give me hope and vision for the future, and open my ears to hear your voice. Lord, strengthen my courage, allow me to defeat every lying voice of the enemy. I bind up shame, insecurity, heaviness, doubt, fear, the spirit of slumber, and any other unclean thing that would try to come against my calling. I want to grow in Christianity, and become more mature in my faith. Help me to stand boldly, declaring your truth over my life, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Scripture

As long as it is the day, we must do the works of Him who sent me. Night is coming when no one can work. John 9:4

I can do all this through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
